The Remington Model 1100 had a long run starting in 1963, and pretty much re-wrote the definition of reliability in autoloading shotguns. They did have a little help when plastic shells became common. This one features light, almost honey-colored wood with strong grain. The barrel doe not features a rib, but the receiver has a matte strip to aid at the breech end. It is fixed choke with Modified restriction for maximum utility. The shotgun does not appear to have been fire much. The wood is sound. The metal is clean and unblemished. Nice shotgun, manufactured around 1974.
